With nearly ten years in the field, Kim Fischer is an experienced news anchor and reporter. Ms. Fischer currently works for KTVX ABC 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she anchors the 5 p.m. newscast and reports Breaking News and Special Assignments for the 10 p.m. newscast. Ms. Fischer frequently engages in community events and actively researches story ideas that affect individuals living in greater Salt Lake City and in Utah at large.

Before achieving her current position with KTVX ABC 4, Ms. Fischer served as Morning Reporter and Fill-in Anchor for KXAS NBC5 in Dallas, Texas. From 2009 to 2011, she reported live for two hours each morning and frequently filled in as a news anchor. Several of Ms. Fischer’s stories received national media attention, one of which she personally reported live on the Today Show in June 2011.

Educated at the University of North Texas, Kim Fischer completed her Bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, and Film in 2002. A strong academic achiever, she served as Social/Rush Chair of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity and competed in the Heart of Texas Form and Figure competition, while also gaining work experience as an Intern at KXAS NBC 5 and as a Host of Live & Loud on NNTV.

Earlier in her career, Kim Fischer worked as a reporter for KAMR/KCIT-Nexstar in Amarillo, Texas, and as a reporter for News 4 WOAI in San Antonio, Texas. From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Fischer was the host of a popular television show in Dallas called Hot on Homes.
